Istory Decks is an AI-powered presentation generation and editing service operated by Istory, accessible at decks.istory.cc. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@istory.cc.

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Uploaded files — .pptx files you upload for editing. These are used solely to process your request and are not stored permanently.
• Prompts and inputs — Text you enter to describe your presentation or editing request.
• Usage data — Basic interaction data (page views, feature use) to understand how the service is used. This does not include personal identifiers unless you provide them.
• Contact information — If you email us, we keep your correspondence to respond to your request.

We do not require account registration during the public beta. We do not collect payment data directly — payments are handled by PayPal.

• To process your presentation generation and editing requests.
• To improve the quality and reliability of the service.
• To respond to support requests.
• To detect and prevent abuse.

We do not use your uploaded files or prompts to train AI models for third-party benefit without explicit consent.

Files you upload are processed on our servers to complete your request. Processed files and generated outputs are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after a short period (typically within 24 hours). We do not share your files with third parties except as required to operate the service (e.g., AI processing infrastructure).

We may use the following third-party services:

• AI model providers — To generate content for presentations. Your prompts and relevant context may be sent to these providers to process your request.
• PayPal — For payment processing. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
• Hosting infrastructure — Google Cloud for server hosting.

Each third party operates under their own privacy policy.

During the public beta, we use only essential technical cookies required for the service to function. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies at this stage.

You may request:

• Access to data we hold about you.
• Deletion of any data associated with your interactions.
• Clarification on how your data has been used.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure; we encourage you not to upload files containing sensitive personal or confidential information beyond what is necessary for your presentation.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be noted with an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
